Game Reviews

Is there any chance a game can become more than just a game? previously the idea of a game being use as an educational tool seemed a bit of a joke however the devs behind PC Building Simulator may have just cracked it.

The story of the game is that you take over a PC building and maintenance company from “Uncle Tim” however you’re left with no money available so you need to do jobs for people to rectify this.

The jobs you get also vary from simple tasks like removing viruses all the way to troubleshooting problems then fixing them all whilst trying to earn more money to upgrade the office with more workstations.

The game is also very detailed from the cases, to the way everything is installed right down to installing cables however at the moment there is no option for cable management which to some may be a good thing however I’m hopefull this is added at some stage.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock recently, theres a very good chance you’ve heard of House Flipper the game and after playing it myself for just shy of 63 hours I thought now was a good time to talk about it.

Firstly to understand the game, it’s seemingly based off House Flippers in real life who buy run down properties to renovate and sell on for a profit as quickly as possible however the game also gives you jobs to help out other people from cleaning, painting or even altering floor-plans by removing or adding walls.

When you start a new game you’ll be given a small office in which you work from and by using a laptop you can find jobs to bring in some income, once you’ve earned enough money from these jobs you’ll be on the way to buying your own house to flip!

Houses range in sizes from the garages with bunkers up to full size family homes with prices to suit, your task will first be to clean them up before you start thinking about what you want to do with them then putting those plans together.

Have you ever thought about digging up dirt and sifting for gold? Well now you can since Developers “Code Horizon” have brought us, Gold Rush: The Game!

But wait… Is it worth it?

Recently I saw a few live streamers and youtubers playing Gold Rush: The Game and I got to thinking if it was just another one hit wonder game, full of bugs like a few others we’ve seen pop up this year or is it actually any good?

Hoping for the best I parted way with some of my cash on Steam and got myself a copy and if I’m honest I am somewhat glad I did, but at the same time felt it might be a little over priced.

Over the years I’ve spent a huge majority of my gaming in the Simulation category and one of the game titles that ate up a huge portion of my gaming life was the amazing Car Mechanic Simulator with many hours and even days being spent playing CMS 14 and 15.

After waiting what seemed a lifetime Red Dot Games eventually gave us Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 however even with around 2 years of development it wasn’t without a whole host of problems included.

It’s safe to say that a lot of Red Dot’s fans were somewhat annoyed at the number of bugs the game was released with and I can sympathize, though I was certain that the developers would eventually get the problems fixed and iron out the creases that I went on to buy the game anyway.

A few weeks in and the developers have been working tirelessly to fix the problems in the game, seemingly focusing on the main issues first so some of the minor bugs still remain… Hopefully Red Dot Games will get to those soon enough.

Hey everyone!

Today I’m reviewing possibly one of my favorite DLC’s to come from SCS Software which was released yesterday on Steam… I hope you enjoy!

I’ve owned SCS Software’s Euro Truck Simulator 2 since it’s release and whilst hauling standard curtain side trailers and containers is still somehow fun, nothing beats pulling those heavy loads.

For a long time it fell to some of the many ETS2 modders to quench our thirst for these load types (my personal favorite being Jazzycat), though SCS Software finally saw that players were crying out for something more “official” and now they have delievered.

Hello everyone!

Before I get into talking about the game I want to stress these are my personal opinions and admittedly have only played two matches so far, though already have some things I wanted to talk about…

After watching a few friends streaming the beta of Battlegrounds everything was looking positive, I like the idea behind the game of throwing a bunch of people onto an island with the goal being the last to survive.

Whilst I’ve heard that some feel the matchmaking can sometimes seem a little unfair, I personally enjoy the challenge of battling with those somewhat better than myself as it makes me learn new methods and techniques a bit faster than playing someone of my own skill level… Easy kills usually mean nothing to me.
