Hey everyone!

Yesterday Microsoft launched the Beta of the Xbox money maker Forza Motorsport 6: Apex for PC users, featuring insane graphical detailing with up to 4K resolution and the best part… It’s totally free via the Windows Store.

Playing the beta myself for about 30minutes I can safely say that it is a game I can see myself playing on a regular basis, with the game having almost flawless physics from over-steer, under-steer and (when it rains during a race) the possibility of aquaplaning it certainly keeps you on your toes.

The game features 63 highly detailed cars to pick from all with working headlights, doors and intricately modeled interiors and exteriors, and full damage as well as 20 track configurations across six locations, including night and wet-weather variants players can easily sink many hours into the game.

It’s also been stated that Turn 10 will be busy throughout the summer making changes during the open beta offering numerous updates and improvements across all Windows 10 enabled computers… so you may want to check out the recommended specs below.

It has also been confirmed that wheel support IS planned and will be added once Turn 10 have finished working hard to ensure they can deliver the support, performance and features that we expect.

As well as wheel support there are also other features confirmed to be coming from in-app framerate counter and the ability to disable Vsync, should we want to.

My personal opinions:

Being a huge fan of the Forza titles but being against the idea of buying a next-gen console purely for one or two titles I am pleased that Microsoft have finally seen the light and decided to support PC gamers by offering this amazing title.

I am personally hoping that Microsoft release more titles to PC gamers including Forza Horizon!

If you are a fan of racing titles and your PC meets the requirements, I highly recommend getting the open beta from the Windows Store.

Thanks for reading and until next time… Happy racing!

Kev.
