Hey everyone!

Today I’m reviewing possibly one of my favorite DLC’s to come from SCS Software which was released yesterday on Steam… I hope you enjoy!

I’ve owned SCS Software’s Euro Truck Simulator 2 since it’s release and whilst hauling standard curtain side trailers and containers is still somehow fun, nothing beats pulling those heavy loads.

For a long time it fell to some of the many ETS2 modders to quench our thirst for these load types (my personal favorite being Jazzycat), though SCS Software finally saw that players were crying out for something more “official” and now they have delievered.

In the pack you’re greeted with various loads of varied weights with all new rear-steering trailers for those tight, awkward corners when you’re pulling any of the 8 new cargoes.

Add to this the free update SCS also released featuring new truck chassis variants and tuning updates for Mercedes-Benz New Actros, Volvo FH 2012, and both Scania R and Streamline trucks we can now get on the road to become heavy haulers.

In my opinion however there are some things still missing that would have placed the cherry on top, usually when you see these trucks hauling heavy loads they feature various signs along with the beacons, ETS2 has always had the beacons so this isn’t much of an issue however the signs… well this for now at least, will fall to modders again.

One of the things I would have loved to have seen would be escort driver ai’s that would follow in a van with beacons etc, though considering the current ai’s are still a bunch of trolls maybe that would have been a disaster waiting to happen?

All in all though, I highly recommend this DLC and with it currently being 10% discounted it’s probably the perfect time but even at it’s base price it’s still cheap… maybe because the DLC itself lacks a little but it still gives hours of fun!

Thanks for reading, if you enjoyed please consider sharing this post using the social buttons on the left… It really helps me out a lot.

Until my next post I’ll speak with you all again soon.

Kev.
